A letter by honorary editor-in-chief of OBJEKT©USA|Canada, Sasha Josipovicz
What started 28 years ago as a philanthropist’s dream is now considered to be one of the most desired private residential destinations in the world. The title of being one of Florida’s exclusive “Private Residential Clubs” has never reached the standards of excellence as we experienced at Windsor in Vero Beach, Florida. OBJEKT© had the pleasure of visiting Windsor, with exclusive access to all of its grounds and amenities.
“Creating culture and outdoor activities in an inspired beachfront community“
Every corner of Windsor is a visual inspiration. Residents enjoy morning walks on the pristine white sand beaches of the Florida Atlantic coastline, sunsets at the Serengeti inspired golf course, dining al fresco, horseback riding and convivial games of tennis. Additional daily options include gallery browsing or taking a polo lesson, sipping a martini by the pool after croquet or simply strolling the picturesque streets embraced by lush landscaping.
Modernist architecture is mixed with Bahamian vernacular, and French colonial details all seamlessly entwine to create a relaxed and inviting place only handful can call home. Together with our master photographer Hans Fonk alongside his daughter Alaïa Fonk, OBJEKT©’s online manager and videographer (call her “queen of drones”), we documented this prestigious property and a few of its selected residences. What more to say than to stay tuned for our upcoming issues of OBJEKT featuring Windsor.
I extend my gratitude to our guide and hostess at Windsor, Mme Jane Smalley, Marketing Director. My special thank you to the Weston family, the creators and co-founders of Windsor. You make me proud to be Canadian.
