The Vuotopieno project is a beautiful nineteenth-century double apartment in the Prati district in of the Italian city of Rome. The owner wanted to realize a sense of order and cleanliness, fused with more functional characteristics. Architect Filippo Bombace combined all these requirements, combining the classic details with modern amenities to create a holiday home

Tourist coming to Rome want to experience the most authentic and genuine characters of the city of the last century, while enjoying the comfort of today’s technologies.

In the process the elegant apartment on the banks of the Tiber River did undergo few changes. A second bathroom was added as well as some rooms were prepared for future purposes. The existing finishes were preserved consistent with the original pathos of the building. Authentic architectural features and finishes were recovered like the cement tile floors, vaulted ceilings, fixtures and decorations found under the various layers of paint.

The furniture was kept simple to coexist with the natural flavors and some recycled design elements.
