EDIT Napoli is the innovative fair created to support and promote independent designers – will premiere from June 6-9th 2019 in Naples, a capital in the Mediterranean circuit of culture with its rich history of talented craftspeople, local manufacturing industry, and prestigious art scene. EDIT Napoli will take over the Complesso di San Domenico Maggiore in the heart of historical city centwe, and will attract an audience looking for something different.

Focus and Showcase

The event focuses on the rise of the designer-maker: those who sidestep the industry by flying solo on all aspects of design production, from conception and fabrication to branding and distribution. It’s a striking new path and never before has a design fair exclusively spot-lit this specific trend.

EDIT Napoli showcases a mix of well-known names, younger designers, established producers and collaborations between manufacturers and designers.It address the thought-leaders of the design world, and aims to building a bridge between designer-makers and buyers, retailers, interior designers, and architects.



Domitilla Dardi and Emilia Petruccelli, curators and creators of the project respectively, scouted more than 50 exhibitors that favour quality over quantity and have a practice rooted in making.

Leading designers and manufactures will exhibit pieces through a series of creations conceived exclusively for EDIT Napoli. These include, among others, French product and interior designer Constance Guisset; Nika Zupancand her eccentric elegance; Italian glass artist Simone Crestani, and the design exploration of Andrea Anastasio. Dutch research will be represented by names such as maker Dirk van der Kooij, and the intuitive and spontaneous design of Max Lipsey. Among the artisans and established companies that will take part in the June’s showcase, are GHIDINI1961, a world reference in brass production; the research and metal craftsmanship of De Castelli; and Italian ceramic tradition by Bitossi Ceramiche.

Many designers will also launch original collaborations with manufacturers, including: Gum Design with Alfaterna Marmi, Daniele Della Porta with BBeds, BCXSY with Morseletto, and Elisa Ossino with Nesite.
