Last week at Miami Art Basel, Bentley teamed up with Milan-based light artist Massimo Uberti for the first in a series of art and design commissions conceived by creative directors Campbell-Rey.

Campbell-Rey took inspiration from the vehicle audit bays, neon-lit inspection areas where all cars are carefully inspected prior to delivery. These environments are not only visually striking, but also the physical expression of Bentley’s dedication to excellence, and consequently Campbell-Rey chose Light as the first element to be explored in the series. Uberti, renowned for his sculptural light installations, was drawn towards these environments, which are the physical expression of Bentley’s dedication to excellence.

Massimo Uberti his sculpture is a reflection of the cyclical nature of the production process. It shows the balance between the mechanical factory and the human presence seen in the craftsperson’s worktable.
