OBJEKT ASIA/CHINA celebrated the launch of the third issue of the magazine at Timothy Oulton Gallery in Hong Kong.

The three storey gallery is set in the heart of Wanchai’s quirky creative community. St Francis Street. Its adjoining lanes make up the trendy Star Street Precinct, a center for culture and the arts with a vibe reminiscent of London’s Covent Garden.

Once a district of old Chinese tenement buildings, the area is now unrecognizable. Entrepreneurs and artisans have lined the leafy streets with stylish galleries, cozy cafes and chic boutiques. Bursting with character and soul, it was the perfect setting for the launch party of OBJEKT ASIA/CHINA issue THREE hosted by the eclectic brand Timothy Oulton: a world player in the international interior scene.

Around 40 of Hong Kong’s hottest interior designers were exclusively invited to the St. Francis Street gallery. The invitation already looked like a cover from the magazine, and the crowd was excited not only for the grand unveiling of the publication, but also to discover Timothy Oulton’s latest collections, recently arrived in store.

Editor-in-Chief Cora Hui spoke about Objekt’s excitement of branching out into Asia and toasted the new venture. On partnering with Timothy Oulton, Cora explained: “We were taken away by its richness in styling and clear fondness for antiques. I remember Tim told me that he believes in ‘more is more’, which shows in his and his team’s creativity. It is the time for timeless creation, that’s what we are here for.”
