Nobu Hotel Miami Beach has soft-opened within oceanfront Eden Roc Miami Beach, the storied epicenter of luxury hospitality designed by renowned Neo-Baroque architect Morris Lapidus. Nobu Hotel Miami Beach combines Nobu’s unique style of artistry and global luxury beloved by a powerful international clientele with Eden Roc Miami Beach’s venerable heritage. Long known as a center of hospitality, the Eden Roc Miami Beach will enter a new era with the opening of Nobu Hotel Miami Beach; incorporating elements of Omotenashi, the Japanese art of hospitality, the latest iteration of the property will encompass the glamour of the past, present and future in Miami Beach.

Renowned architect David Rockwell artfully reimagined the flagship property, weaving the aesthetics of the landmark Lapidus property with Nobu’s signature style. The hotel will officially open in January 2017. Nobu Hotel Miami Beach’s art collection is curated by Peter Brant of The Brant Foundation. Featuring works from Richard Prince, Rob Pruitt, Julian Schnabel, Nate Lowman, Shepard Fairy and more, the collection culminates with Josh Smith’s site-specific piece Florida Set in the Nobu Lobby.

Founding chef of Nobu Restaurants, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa currently oversees the global portfolio of Nobu restaurants around the world. Robert De Niro, is co-founder of Nobu Hotels. He was instrumental in bringing the artistry of Nobu first to New York and then to around the world. Hollywood film producer Teper, in conjunction with De Niro, convinced Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to open the first restaurant and has been instrumental in the growth of Nobu on the world stage.

Designed by trailblazing architect Morris Lapidus, Eden Roc Miami Beach has been revered as a timeless oceanfront treasure since its opening in 1956. The hotel earned its reputation as “the Grande Dame of Miami Beach” during its heyday in the 50s and 60s, welcoming luminaries including Elizabeth Taylor, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Frank Sinatra, Katherine Hepburn, Ernest Hemingway and Sammy Davis Jr. The hotel has remained an icon since then and is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.  The opening of Nobu Hotel Miami Beach heralds a new era for the property, reviving its legendary glamour and providing the ultimate in style and entertainment.
